Stella Marbleized

A clean and contemporary design with a little something more, each Stella Marbleized mirror is one of a kind. Made from solid domestic hardwood, each mirror is dipped into a marbling bath. The once-liquid pattern, a moment of fluid time, wraps around the mirror frame, and becomes still as it adheres to the surface. The natural wood can still be seen beneath the pattern, within this shallow depth, one can be reminded of geologic time, the time it takes trees to grow, and the worlds that live within our worlds. It is a lovely entryway, hallway, or bedroom mirror, though it is by no means limited to these spaces.
Available in maple, cherry, and walnut. The marbleized pattern on each mirror is unique, it will be similar to what is shown, but each pattern will vary.
Maple frames are finished with water based finish, so it won’t yellow. Cherry and walnut frames are finished with oil based finish to bring out the richness of the grain. Both are hand rubbed to a satin finish.

All mirrors are made in our studio, from high-quality, sustainably sourced North American hardwoods, using traditional mortise and tenon joinery. Mirror finishes are durable and hand rubbed to a satin sheen. Mirror glass is 3/16” thick, yielding a reflection without distortion. Ready to hang with a french cleat.
