Long Bench with Squiggle and Knot

The Long Bench with Squiggle and Knot is a modernized version of the classic Shaker bench. Made from locally made and reclaimed semi-trailer bed material, a combination of solid red + white oak, with octagonal white oak legs that are attached with a wedged through tenon. A squiggle adds both character and strength to the generous seating area of this bench. It is the perfect piece for an entryway, dining or kitchen table, foot of a bed, or anywhere you need a place to sit.
The optional hand-incised and painted knot on the top surface of the bench symbolizes hope and is inspired by a poem by a mentor and poet Albert ‘Huff’ Huffsticker.

The Black paint finish option is painted and then top coated with oil based polyurethane for durability and ease of cleaning, hand rubbed to a satin finish.
